Allan Thræn is co-founder and CTO at umage.ai, where he helps Danish and Nordic enterprises put AI to work — across software, websites, and the everyday solutions that keep a business running. He has been building software for more than 25 years, holds Optimizely's MVP recognition, and has a long tail of open-source contributions across the .NET and Optimizely ecosystems.
Since 2023 his work has centred on agentic development at the boundary of cloud and local AI — running swarms of coding agents on his own hardware, testing open-weight models against frontier ones, and exploring economies of AI-development beyond the per-token bill.
